Despite being a supposed Michigan geography expert, I somehow didn’t even know the island town of Grosse Ile existed until I got the e-mail from @cottagesandbungalows editor, Kelly McMaster, to photograph Josh and Vanessa of @thegratzlife’s 1926 Tudor there for the April/May 2025 issue of Cottages and Bungalows! Their Shiba Inu named Kona is probably my favorite dog I’ve ever met at a photo shoot, so I worked him in as many shots as I could. I spent an inordinate amount of time in the dining room since it was my favorite space, followed closely by their sunroom which has the first indoor garden I’ve ever seen in a home!
